Coal India Partners with EDF India for Renewable Energy Projects

New Delhi: Coal India Limited has signed an agreement with EDF India Private Limited to establish a joint venture aimed at developing renewable energy projects. According to a stock exchange filing by Coal India, the collaboration will focus on Pumped Storage Projects (PSP) and other sustainable energy initiatives across India and neighboring countries.

EDF India Private Limited is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Electricite de France SA (EDF), a global leader in energy solutions. The two companies formalized their partnership by executing a Non-Binding Shareholders Agreement (SHA) term sheet on Sunday.

This strategic alliance marks a significant step toward advancing clean energy initiatives and strengthening India’s commitment to sustainable power generation.
