New Delhi: The upcoming original series ‘Khalbali Records’ is a musical drama that delves into the shifting dynamics between indie and commercial music, framed by a father-son rivalry. The gripping trailer, recently released by JioCinema Premium, has already sparked excitement.

JioCinema shared the trailer on Instagram with the caption, "Khalbali machane wale aa rahe hai! Get ready for the biggest musical drama of the year, #KhalbaliRecords. Streaming from September 12 exclusively on JioCinema Premium. Music by Amit Trivedi and Azaadi Records."

Premiering on September 12th, ‘Khalbali Records’ features a stellar ensemble cast, including powerhouses like Ram Kapoor, Skand Thakur, Saloni Batra, Salonie Patel, and Punjabi rapper Prabh Deep in key roles, along with appearances by notable figures such as EPR, Kumar Varun, and more from the music industry.

Directed by Devanshu Singh, the series brings its central theme of music to life with soulful soundtracks composed by Amit Trivedi, complemented by unique indie hip-hop tracks from Azadi Records.

The series follows Raghav, a gifted music producer working at his father’s renowned label, Galaxy Records. A tragic event shakes Raghav’s world, leading him to grow increasingly disillusioned with his father’s company and its lack of true support for artists.

Lead actor Ram Kapoor shared his experience, saying, "‘Khalbali Records’ offers a fresh look at the music industry, highlighting the power struggle between indie artists and commercial labels, and capturing the essence of the indie wave.
