Herradura is the calm bay of the corridor, just a 10-minute drive north of Jacó. Unlike Jacó's open beach, the water here is protected inside a horseshoe-shaped bay — one of the few beaches in the area that's genuinely good for swimming with kids. Weekends bring plenty of local Costa Rican families out for the day. A few minutes away are Jacó, the heart of the area's nightlife, and Playa Hermosa, the surfers' beach — together they make up the full Central Pacific corridor.
It's also home to Los Sueños Resort & Marina, one of Costa Rica's largest tourism developments — with a sportfishing marina, a golf course, and Marina Village, a waterfront strip of restaurants right where the fishing boats come in. San José is about an hour and fifteen minutes away by car. On LocalView, you can watch the real activity at Herradura's marina and restaurants live, and follow the businesses you care about most to catch their updates.
