By accessing or using localview.live (the "Site") or any of its features, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Site.
These Terms apply to all visitors, registered users (tourists and businesses), and any other persons who access the Site.
LocalView is a real-time destination hub for the Central Pacific corridor of Costa Rica, covering Playa Jacó, Playa Herradura, and Playa Hermosa. The platform provides:
LocalView offers accounts for two types of users: Tourists (general visitors) and Businesses (merchant partners). Each account type has different access levels and permissions.
To create an account, you must provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
Businesses that register on LocalView as merchant partners agree to additional terms as outlined in their individual merchant agreement. Submission of business information, menus, photos, and other content implies authorization for LocalView to display that content on the platform.
LocalView reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account at its sole discretion, including for violations of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or conduct deemed harmful to other users or the platform.
You agree not to use the Site to:
LocalView may display live video streams and short-duration buffered recordings from cameras installed at participating business locations. These feeds are sourced from fixed-angle cameras positioned in public-facing areas such as dining areas, beach-facing terraces, bars, and surf zones. No audio is transmitted or recorded.
To maintain service continuity in the event of a camera interruption, LocalView may retain short-loop video buffers (typically a few minutes in duration) on its servers. These buffers are used solely to display recent footage when a live feed becomes temporarily unavailable and are not retained for long-term storage or any other purpose.
Cameras are positioned to capture the general atmosphere of business locations and not to focus on individual patrons or private spaces. LocalView requires all participating businesses to post visible signage notifying customers of the presence of cameras. By entering a camera-equipped area, individuals acknowledge that they may appear in publicly accessible video feeds.
Live feeds are provided on a best-effort basis. LocalView does not guarantee the continuous availability, quality, or accuracy of any video feed. Feeds may be interrupted, delayed, or temporarily replaced by buffered content without notice.
Information displayed in merchant profiles — including menus, photos, hours of operation, and pricing — is provided by the business owners themselves. LocalView does not verify the accuracy of this information and is not responsible for errors, omissions, or outdated content. Users are encouraged to confirm details directly with the business before visiting.
All content on the Site created by LocalView — including but not limited to the platform design, logo, interface elements, and original text — is the property of Local View Limitada and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
User-generated content (such as merchant photos and descriptions) remains the property of the respective merchant partner. By submitting content to the platform, merchants grant LocalView a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and distribute that content in connection with the platform.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of any content on the Site without prior written permission from LocalView.
The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Local View Limitada shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, revenue, or goodwill — arising from your use of or inability to use the Site or its features.
LocalView is not responsible for any decisions made by users based on information found on the platform, including business visits, purchases, or activities.
The Site may contain links or integrations to third-party services, including Google Maps, WhatsApp, and other external platforms. These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. LocalView has no control over and assumes no responsibility for the content, practices, or availability of third-party services.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Costa Rica. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Costa Rica.
LocalView reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Site after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
