Hotel Ibiza sits in the heart of Jacó on Calle Las Olas, about a 5-minute walk from the beach, and guests who pick it see an affordable option that does not give up a good location. It has a pool, a bar and a restaurant, a shared kitchen for guests and friendly, attentive staff: one visitor who used the day pass says what you pay is fully consumable at the bar and restaurant, and singles out Luis, the bartender. The hotel opened in 2015, run by a French couple who arrived in Costa Rica in 2008, with a Mediterranean boutique-hotel concept in a white-and-blue building.
The most repeated complaint is noise: it is a hotel open to the public and some nights have electronic-music events that run until 2 AM very close to the rooms, so it is not the place for anyone after a quiet rest, or for families who go without knowing; there were also complaints about waits of almost an hour at breakfast and lunch. It is in Jacó, and it is worth asking about events before booking.
