Sibö, the creator of life in Cabécar culture, gives this resort spa its name, and the offering covers single and couples massages, body scrubs and wraps, facials, manicures and pedicures, scalp treatments and men's services. One guest remembers the massage as the best of their life: the aromas as you arrive, pressure to taste from light to firm, and flawless communication. Among the specialty treatments is an aloe vera one, with a misting spray and very light pressure, made for the day you forgot sunscreen. Lockers close with your own lock, the bathrooms are stocked with toiletries, and there is a gym, showers, steam room, sauna and jacuzzi, which on one visit came included with the massage.

The fine print is what to check: a "couples" package understood as two massages for the price of one turned out to be only a shared room, and the final bill came to double what was expected; ask what each package includes and confirm the total before you start. Someone also noticed an air-conditioning problem in the men's waiting room, which is unwelcome right before a massage. Prices are not published: you ask when you book, and an appointment is required. The spa is inside the resort, about 800 meters from the entrance to Herradura, and is open daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
