Surfer Factory is Jacó's surf school and surf shop, opened in 2009 by a team of local surfers. The two-hour lessons include a board, rashguard, transportation, a drink and fruit, with bilingual staff, and students single out the instructors for their patience: Davito and Víctor are named, who know the waves well and explain things calmly, and MJ, with whom two kids picked it up quickly. For a first time in the water it is a safe bet, and there are also private lessons, kids' lessons, SUP outings and a week-long surf camp.

The shop, on Avenida Pastor Díaz, carries its own boards and well-known brands, clothing, accessories and board rentals, and the service and the quality of the products get good words. It is 300 meters south of the Más x Menos supermarket, under Platinum Gym, in Jacó.
