If you do not want to haul a board on the plane, they also rent shortboards from $15 a day, funboards and longboards at $20 and SUPs at $25, with leash and fins included and $100–$120 by the week.

Two things are worth knowing. One renter who took two boards for seven days complained about being charged an extra day for bringing them back first thing the next morning, after a road accident kept them from making it before closing, so it pays to let the shop know early if you will return late; and another visitor says some Australian boards wear out after little use and that the shop does not take them as trade-in payment.
