Buddha House sits in the middle of Jacó on Avenida Pastor Díaz, a block from the beach, and what comes up most from people who stayed is how well kept it is: clean, welcoming and decorated in colorful Asian-inspired style. Guests describe very friendly staff, especially the person in charge, a good breakfast and fair prices for food and drinks. The pool has chairs and tables for meeting other guests, there is a shared kitchen, and at night the gate is closed to everyone but guests.

Even in the center, it is described as quiet. A few things to keep in mind: one guest found the pool small and shallow, another found the parking narrow for 4x4 vehicles, and rooms #10, #11 and #12 have a full bathroom outside the room, in the living area, which one guest found inconvenient. Opinions on price are split: someone who paid ₡50,000 for two in a room with a private bathroom called it excessive, while others mention very good value. The roughly 1,000 m² property in Jacó can also be rented whole for groups of up to 32 people and events, with a stage for live music.
