Café Bohío Jacó is the first Bohío coffee shop, on the corner of Avenida Pastor Díaz and Calle Bohío, and right there they roast the beans for all their locations and bake sourdough for their sandwiches. People who stop by talk about the coffee: a smooth latte with latte art, a cold brew that makes this a must-stop in Jacó and a refreshing passion fruit soda. On the food side the egg sandwich, the pork sandwich and the muffins, which are not heavy, get recommended; the breakfast menu runs from gallo pinto to pancakes, avocado toast or dragon fruit and mango bowls with homemade granola.
The mood is pleasant and relaxed, although one visitor thinks the service is nothing remarkable, without being bad, and others praise it: they close at 7:00 PM and keep serving past the hour. One traveler, after ten days in Costa Rica, called it the best for value. Breakfasts cost ₡3,500 to ₡5,000 and it is in the heart of Jacó.
