Pochote Grande is a small, family-run hotel right on the beach, on the quiet north side of Jacó Bay, away from the noise of downtown. Guests highlight the location (the beach is "right in front"), the service, the cleanliness of the rooms and the pool, the breakfast and a restaurant with delicious food at accessible prices. One went out at night to watch the moon on the beach and felt the place was safe, with the usual caution. The one point to improve that comes up is the Wi-Fi signal, and one family says the hotel works for people using wheelchairs, crutches or a cane, and for older adults.
There are 24 rooms in two two-story buildings, each with a balcony or terrace toward the garden, the pool and, in most cases, the sea; they have two queen beds, air conditioning, a fan and a bathroom with hot water. Parking is free and guarded, and the room safe costs US$3 per day. Children from 12 years old stay as adults; up to two children under 12 share their parents' room at no charge and only pay for breakfast. Google marks it as cash only. Downtown Jacó is about a 15-minute walk away and the Croc's Casino Resort is 50 meters off.
24 large and bright rooms in two two-storey buildings, each with a balcony or terrace overlooking the garden, the pool and, in most cases, the ocean. Free private parking and security guards. The hotel does not publish rates: ask through the website form or by phone.
