The Tiki Bar on the sand is what people remember most: a relaxed atmosphere, good service and piña coladas that one visitor recommends ordering. The menu runs from breakfast gallo pinto and fish, shrimp and mixed ceviches to casados, seafood and a long list of cocktails, beers and spirits.
The hotel is simple and old-school rather than a luxury resort: clean rooms with air conditioning and a well-kept pool, right on the dark-sand beach in Jacó. It pays to look closely at which room you book: the Jr. Suite is the one with ocean views, others face the garden, the pool or the mountain, and one visitor criticizes the uneven condition of the facilities.
