What gets praised most at Mocapan is the coffee and the avocado toast. One visitor says the coffee came with lovely latte art and the avocado toast tasted almost like the ones in San José; another mentions delicious food and good value for the price, and someone else is glad to finally have a place like this in Jacó. There are also complaints: the wait can be long (one table waited over 40 minutes for a sandwich and another was given an apology for the delay), a ham and cheese croissant arrived reheated rather than made to order, and the acoustics are loud. The place is new and lacks signage outside to find it.
It is in the Costanera shopping center, 100 meters east of the Garabito courthouse, in Jacó. It opens every day at 6:00 am (until 7:00 pm, and until 6:00 pm on Sundays), with a pet-friendly terrace, wifi and free parking. Breakfasts run from ₡3,800 to ₡5,300, sandwiches and bowls from ₡4,900 to ₡6,900 and a coffee from ₡1,300 to ₡2,500; pastries are ordered inside at the counter.
