What comes up most about Spells is the mix of good food, a young crowd and music. People who went describe very tasty food, attentive service and so much good music that you end up staying longer than planned; several visitors name the women working the bar and the floor, and a mixed group with American friends left happy with how they were treated.
The bar is on Avenida Pastor Díaz, in Jacó, and lives on sports: big screens for the NFL and Costa Rica matches, pool tables and DJ nights. The menu covers breakfasts, appetizers, ceviches, main dishes and a long list of cocktails; cocktails run from ₡2,000 to ₡8,400 and mains from ₡9,500 to ₡16,000.
