What comes up most about Zelva is the octopus carpaccio, the Wagyu short ribs and the bread that arrives at the table as soon as you sit down. The menu revolves around the grill, with Tomahawk, Prime ribeye, picanha and lamb rack, each served with chimichurri and a side of your choice, plus oysters, scallops, ravioli and a Wagyu burger. Portions are generous.
The dining room is elegant, with warm lighting and wooden tables, and the mood is calm: a dress-up dinner rather than a beach-day stop. There is a large garden with a kids' play area, so it also works for families and groups. Service is attentive and prices feel fair for what you get. It sits 800 meters south of the Garabito Municipality in Jacó, and it opens daily from 5 to 10 pm; reservations go through WhatsApp.
