Fishing Herradura is run by its owners and captains: the website itself says there are no middlemen or commission agents, and that you deal directly with the people who run the boats. Captain Randy Delgado Sandí is at the helm, and the two guests who describe their day on the water both name Randy and David as people who know the sea and the best spots in the area: they caught plenty of fish, were fed and watered aboard, had lunch prepared on the boat, had every fish cleaned and even had a table held for them on the beach next to the landing point. According to the site, trips can go offshore (mahi mahi), bottom fishing or inshore (roosterfish).
The boat listed is a 32-foot Phoenix for up to 4 guests, with two 250 hp Yamaha engines and air conditioning, and you board it from the beach in a small launch. Rates depend on the length of the trip —half day (5 hours) US$700, three-quarter day (6 hours) US$860 and full day (9 hours) US$1,600— and include sandwiches, fruit, salad, snacks, water, sodas, juices, beer and life insurance; a US$200 deposit reserves the trip. The base is on the beach in Herradura.
