Las Brisas is a small, quiet resort surrounded by greenery, with rooms and little houses around the pool and the jacuzzi, and everything is close at hand: step out of your room and you find the pool, the restaurant-bar and the kitchen. The rooms are large, clean and nicely chilled by the air conditioning, with a sink, microwave, mini-fridge and cutlery; guests highlight the friendly staff, breakfast with options to your taste, pool towels and good parking. The pool is clean and shallow, and music plays only by the pool, because it is not allowed in the common areas. One guest found the mattress and pillow too firm.
It helps to know the house rules: guests who traveled with a dog say the contract listed fines of US$200 if the dog gets on the bed and US$250 for vaping, and that the front desk was not very friendly; another guest, years ago, mentioned a separate cleaning charge and having to take out the trash. It is a 5-minute drive to Playa Hermosa, 12 to Jacó and 15 to Playa Esterillos Oeste. It is in Playa Hermosa.
