What stands out in what people say about Republik is the service. Several visitors name the staff (Allan, Valeska, Vaneka, Vanesa, Erickson and Támara) and describe attentive, friendly service, cocktails you won't find at just any bar, tasty food with plenty to choose from and a clean setting with games to pass the time. One visitor came for the disco and left happy with the space and the cocktails. The weak spot is the kitchen: one couple waited over an hour for a burger and a casserole while the drinks came out fast, and a larger table that arrived after them was served first.

The hotel is on Cocal Street, next to Casino Cocal and a few steps from the beach, in the middle of Jacó, on the same property as the bistro and the disco (Fridays and Saturdays from 10 pm). It is an adults-only hotel open to groups and bachelor parties, so expect noise to be part of the deal. For the nights of Oct 24 and Dec 26 the rooms were listed between $100 and $110.
