What gives the place its name is the fish tacos: one table ordered three each —chicken, beef and mahi— and kept talking about the mahi, buttery and tender. The ceviche and the guacamole hold up too, and the orange juice arrives fresh. The menu goes beyond tacos: bowls, hummus and falafel, Angus burgers, grilled fish, superfood smoothies and, on weekends from 8:00 AM, breakfast with shakshuka and homemade bagels.
It sits inside Jaco Walk Shopping Center in Jacó, with open-air tables and a relaxed, comfortable feel; Mireya and Jonathan are the names that come up most when people talk about the service. A main with the mini salad bar runs from ₡6,500 to ₡11,950. Not every visit goes smoothly: a table of seven ran into sold-out dishes and a wait for salad-bar plates, and the table right next to the speaker gets more music than it bargained for.
