Pumilio is a small, lovely hotel, and the service earns almost all the praise: the staff is kind and professional, and guests say they felt at home. One guest gives special thanks to Carla, attentive and always smiling. The rooms are pretty and clean, parking is enough, the place feels private and safe, and the buffet breakfast is among the things people mention most.
Location is a plus: it sits between Jacó and Playa Herradura, close enough to Jacó's dining scene but in a calm setting surrounded by nature; one guest who came for a paddleboard crossing in the Herradura bay chose it for exactly that reason. For another it was not only nice but cheap: they stayed one night with their son and it was the best place they could find. It is in Herradura.
Three suites in the middle of the forest, 5 minutes from the beach, with the typical breakfast buffet included (7:00 to 10:30 am), free Wi-Fi and parking, a welcome glass of wine or coffee and access to the pools. High season runs 12/18 to 5/1 and holidays have a 3-night minimum: for 12/26–29/2026 the engine showed US$555 (Yàmĩpa), US$625 (Di') and US$694 (Kàl) for the 3 nights. Each additional person is US$30 per day; children under 6 are free. Check-in 3:00 pm, check-out 11:00 am; pets are not allowed. The El Bosque restaurant is open 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
